ROM Upgrade
I've been away from this forum for quite a long time. I am still running AO6 on my X51V. I'm sure there is a newer version out there, and I would appreciate some guidance in finding and installing it. Thanks.

Welcome back, Mark! You can get download links and details about ROM A12 here, and the same for the driver rollup package here.

Just got an X51v
Hi i've been away from the board for a while, but i just got an X51v(had an X5) and i'd like to tweak it a little. I've already found some great stuff on here(as i knew i would). My question is this. I'd like to upgrade my ROM to the latest version but i'm skeptical because i've only seen people speak of going from A06 to A012. My X51v is only at A01. Does anyone know of any problems that have been posted of going from A01 to A12. I know it shouldn't be a problem but i'd just like to check here before i attempt the upgrade. Thanks for all the help!(Past, Present, and Future)

Our esteemed member USABlue recently upgraded from A01 to A12 and said it worked flawlessly.

schweet
I updated the rom last night it went off without a hitch. I used an instruction set i found here.

I'd have to agree that it is faster and can already see the battery will last way longer. Before i updated it took a full minute or more before the system was stable enough to use after turning it on. Now it's 30 seconds or less. Thanks again for all the info this is an awesome site.
